John Leeson

John Leeson came to the Alexander Technique after 15 years of Yoga practise and eight years as a teacher. Keen to see how it could be applied to Yoga and other physical disciplines, John decided to study full-time for three years at the North of England Teaching Centre for the Alexander Technique in Leeds.

Since graduating in 1997, John has used the Technique with clients to relieve the symptoms of bad posture and to give a greater awareness of co-ordination and the body’s innate mechanism of balance and poise.

John holds the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching diploma and finds the use of the Technique is a great help in the practise of Yoga and Tai-chi as it allows greater experience of these disciplines. John sees the Technique as an underlying principle to bringing greater awareness and sensitivity to all aspects of life.
