LADY MAYORESS ENJOYS THE CLINIC ONE EXPERIENCE
The Lady Mayoress enjoyed
some pampering earlier this month when she attended the charity open day
of private healthcare company Clinic One.
Following a relaxing massage, the Lady Mayoress was introduced to therapists
and given a guided tour of the clinic on Abbeydale Road South.
The open day, in aid of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, gave
people the chance to try various complementary healthcare treatments in
return for a donation. Free advice was also given to people to support
their specific health needs and a programme of talks and demonstrations
took place throughout the day.
‘I think people were impressed with the vast range of therapies
and treatments that they were able to experience and were generous with
their donations’, says Clinic One Director, David Roberts. ‘We’ll
be holding more fundraising events throughout the year to support what
we feel is a very worthy cause’.
The Sheffield Children’s Hospital is the clinic’s chosen charity
and fundraising activities to date include free reflexology treatments
and free half-hour Reiki sessions.
Clinic One opened in February this year and, with a roster of twelve well-respected
therapists, the choice of treatments available to clients is impressive.
They include; Alexander technique, spinal therapy, massage, sports massage,
sports podiatry, reflexology, counselling, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy,
crystal therapy and Indian head massage.
